Q: What is a Thin Threads®?

A: Thin Thread® is defined as moment, event, setback, crossroad, or encounter that was fleeting, yet it connected you to a person, place or an opportunity that change your life for the better.

Thin Threads may also be defined as split decisions we make in our lives that lead us on a path to new insights, people, and possibilities, altering the course of our lives for the better.

Everyone has these thin thread moments.  Sometimes we recognize them instantly, but they may also take weeks, years, even decades to identify.

Q: Will I get paid for my submission?

A: We wish we had the ability to pay everyone who submits a story. However, we only can pay those whose stories are accepted.

Q: Does my story need to be true?

A: Yes. We at Kiwi Publishing hope to inspire people by showing them the marvels that actually happened to other people and can therefore happen to you.

Q: What if my story is about someone else?

A: You can direct this person to our website where they can personally submit their own story. If that is not possible, then you must obtain the person's permission in writing and send it in with their submission.

Q: When will the book be available for purchase?

A: The collector's edition is now available. You can order an advanced copy by visiting our store. (link to cart)

Q: Will my name be published with the story?

A: As the author of the story, we will provide credit and a bio in the book. However, we will honor your request to stay anonymous, if you so wish.

Q: Can you help me write my story well?

A:  Submissions are not considered based on proper grammar and syntax. If your story is chosen, we have editors and writers here at Kiwi Publishing standing by to help you better write your story.

Q: How long should my story be?

A: All submissions must be 1200 words or less. Our preferred length is 1000 words.

Q: Should my story include the actual names of those mentioned in it?

A: The names and places mentioned in all stories are to be revealed at the writer's discretion.

Q: My decision took a long time to make. Is it a Thin Thread?

A: No. A Thin Thread is a spur-of-the-moment, spontaneous and impulsive decision.

Q: How will I find out that my story is going to be published?

A: We will contact you by phone as soon as your story is selected by our editors.

Q: Why do I need to sign a release form?

A: The release form, along with the one hundred dollar compensation allows Kiwi Publishing to publish and print your story in the Thin Threads® book series. Unfortunately, without the release form we are unable to publish your story.
